Many school districts
will be running Levy and Bond elections on February 11, 2014. Local levies can make up nearly one quarter
of the funds needed to deliver educational services to students. In each school district running a levy or
bond election, there is a citizen’s group running the election campaign. School districts are not allowed to run the
campaigns. The citizen’s groups are
made up of parents, teachers and community members who support a “yes” vote
on the ballot measures. Your PTA may
consider an endorsement vote on the levy and bond measures. For more information on taking positions,
