On behalf of Washington school
children, the State Supreme Court took another important step this week to
hold legislators accountable and for the State to show quicker progress in
dramatically increasing K-12 public education funding to meet the mandates of
the McCleary decision.
On Thursday, the Court ordered the State to report by April 30 on a phase-in
plan for adding billions of dollars to K-12 funding by 2018 to finally
rectify years of unconstitutional underfunding. Read about
this week's court order. We greatly appreciate the
courage and commitment of the Court in this process. |
