Each year during the
National PTA Legislative Conference, awards are given for outstanding work in
advocacy. Categories include: outstanding youth, individual, local
unit/region/council, and state congress for outstanding work in advocacy.
This year, advocates may nominate themselves for the youth and individual categories,
and the winners in these categories will get the opportunity to act as
advocacy ambassadors for PTA. Nominations must be for efforts made in the
last year and are due by midnight on December 19, 2013. Visit www.pta.org/advocacyawards for
